Houston says it will put high school site back on the market

The Houston school district is ready to put the coveted property that houses the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice on the market again. The Houston Chronicle says the district administration is recommending new bids be solicited for the property; the school board rejected a sale in July amid concerns about inappropriate lobbying and the finances of the deal. The top two bidders last time were nearby St. Thomas High School and a private investment group. The district said at the time that both bidders violated its bidding rules by lobbying district officials.
