Farmington (Mich.) district mulls options after bond defeat

Officials in the Farmington (Mich.) school district are considering how best to upgrade facilities after voters rejected a $222 million bond proposal this week. The Detroit News says the measure would have authorized the district to borrow bonds for acquiring new technology, refurbishing playgrounds and fields as well as remodeling buildings — some of which are more than 50 years old.
