Susan Brennan contended the West Ottawa (Mich.) district fired her after officials learned she once had worked as a stripper.

The West Ottawa (Mich.) school district has reached a settlement with a former high school teacher who contended in a lawsuit that she was fired after the district learned she once worked as a stripper. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed. mlive.com says that Susan Brennan started working as a West Ottawa teacher in 2000. She says the school district tried to fire her in 2006 after her ex-husband’s girlfriend told officials that Brennan had worked briefly as an exotic dancer before she became a teacher. The district fired her in 2010. In court filings, it cited poor performance as the reason for her firing.
