Bus drivers in Jackson (Mich.) district oppose talk of privatization

Bus drivers for the Jackson (Mich.) school district have been walking a picket line to protest the possible privatization of their jobs. says privatization is one of several options the district is considering to reduce a projected $2.3 million budget shortfall. About 46 positions would be eliminated if the jobs are privatized. The district estimates the move would save about $325,000.
