School system must deal with a $1 billion budget deficit

Video from WGN-TV: The Chicago school district says it is laying off more than 2,000 employees because of a massive budget deficit. The cuts--1,036 teachers and 1,077 other staff members--are in addition to 855 employees who lost their jobs earlier this year because of school closings.
