Broward County (Fla.) board says it needs more money to fix deteriorating facilities

With no major boost to capital funding approved by the state Legislature this year, the Broward County (Fla.) school district is running out of options to pay for long-term fixes for its deteriorating schools. School Board members reviewing the district's five-year facility plan concede that there isn't enough capital money available to meet all technology, transportation and maintenance needs.
