$495 million bond proposal on the ballot in the Jordan (Utah) district

Growing system says it needs to build 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and a high school.

The Jordan (Utah) School District is asking voters in November to approve a $495 million bond proposal. The Deseret News says the money would enable the district to build eight new elementary schools, two new middle schools and a new high school, and replace West Jordan Elementary and West Jordan Middle schools. The number of students in the Jordan district is expected to double in the next two decades, and each year the district adds between 2,000 and 2,500 students
