2 University of Michigan buildings to be renovated

Upgrades at East and West halls are scheduled to be finished in 2014.

Two University of Michigan classroom buildings are scheduled to receive $10.1 million in renovations. AnnArbor.com says a $4.6 million renovation will convert offices in East Hall into a research laboratory and support spaces for the psychology department's biopsychology and neuroscience programs. A $5.5 million project will will renovate 21,800 square feet of West Hall so the astronomy department can be moved there from the Dennison Building. Both projects are expected to be completed in 2014.
