11 students suspended after fight at suburban St. Louis schools

Feb. 12, 2013
Fight stemmed from Twitter messages between students in St. Charles and Ferguson-Florrisant (Mo.) districts

Eleven students at St. Charles West High School in St. Charles, Mo., have been suspended in connection with a fight that broke out last week at the school. The fight included four teens who were not students in the district who were let into the building by West students just as classes were dismissing for the day. Three of those outsiders are students in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and the fourth lived in that district but apparently was not a student. Officials say the fight was triggered by a conversation on Twitter between St. Charles and Ferguson-Florissant students
