A student at University of Colorado-Colorado Springs faces murder charges in the residence hall shooting deaths last week of his roommate and a woman.
The Denver Post reports that Nicholas Trevon Jordan, 25 is being held on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Samuel Knopp, 24, and Celie Rain Montgomery, 26.
Knopp and Jordan were roommates in the Crestone House residence hall at CU Colorado Springs, police said. Montgomery, who was from Pueblo, was not a student.
A judge set a $5 million, cash-only bail Tuesday for Jordan during a brief court appearance.
Colorado Springs police have provided few details about the Friday morning shooting and have not indicated what instigated the violence.
Court documents that detail the evidence against Jordan remain sealed.
