The number of international students enrolled in colleges and universities in the United States rose slightly in 2017-18.

The International Institute of Education's annual Open Doors report says that 1,094,792 students attended U.S. colleges and universities in 2017-18—a 1.5 percent increase of the 2016-17 figure of 1,078,822 students.

Topping the list is China, whose students from make up about a third of all the international students in the United States.
