States with the narrowest wage gaps between teachers and other college graduates

In all 50 states, the average wages of teachers lag behind the average wages of other college graduates.

Using data through 2015 from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Economic Policy Institute found that the wage gap between teachers and other college graduates is growing wider.

In all 50 states, teachers' wages on average are lower than wages for other college graduates—naitonwide, teachers are paid 77 percent of what other college graduates receive.

But some states are performing better than others. Teachers in Wyoming are the closest to receiving wages comparable to other college graduates. The average teacher pay in Wyoming amounted to 98.6 percent of the average wage for other college graduates.

Here are the 10 states where the teacher wage gap was the narrowest.
