States with highest passing rates for the GED test

Federal statistics show that about three-fourths of the students who completed the GED exam received passing grades.

The most recent statistics from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) show that in 2013, a total of 713,960 students completed the General Educational Development (GED) test, and 540,535—75.7 percent—passed the entire battery of five content area tests to earn the equivalent of a high school diploma.
