Federal funding for schools, 2012

In Fiscal 2012, federal funding accounted for 10 percent of the revenue received by U.S. school districts, a report from the U.S. Census Bureau says. Federal support ranged from 5.2 percent in Connecticut and New Jersey to 18.1 percent in Louisiana. Here are the 10 states in which federal funds make up the largest percentage of elementary and secondary school revenue.
