Districts with most school-age children living in poverty

2016 estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau identify the large urban school systems with the greatest numbers of children aged 5 to 17 living in poverty.

More than 328,000 New York City children aged 5 to 17 years old were in families living in poverty in 2016, U.S. Census Bureau statistics show.
