The Pittsburgh (Pa.) school board has decided not to sell the former Columbus Middle School to a charter school organization. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says the board voted 5 to 4 to reject the $915,000 sale of the school to Propel Charter Schools. The group has operated the Propel Northside charter school in the Columbus building since 2011.
