Clark College in Vancouver, Wash., will soon renovate its outdated culinary and baking facilities. The facility was built in 1980 and was considered state-of-the-art at that time. Since then, however, the center has undergone no major renovations or updates. Some equipment has been upgraded since then, but no structural or cosmetic changes have been made, the Columbian reported.
College officials plan to request bids for architectural and engineering services by the end of the month and will begin gathering and reviewing proposals early next year. The college expects to select a firm to move ahead with the renovations in March.
The culinary program is on hiatus until the renovation is completed, said Bob Williamson, vice president of administrative services.
