The Miami Herald reports that the Norland rebuild is the largest construction project that has been carried out with money from a $1.2 billion bond program approved in 2012. District officials say Norland is the last of Miami-Dade’s 1950s-era high schools to be replaced in the urban core.

The new facility includes a new auditorium, classrooms equipped with state-of-the art technology, and facilities for music, dance and arts programs.
