New web site promotes green schools

U.S. Green Building Council launches site focused on school construction.

The U.S. Green Building Council has launched a "Build Green Schools" web site to provide environmentally friendly, energy-efficient school construction. The site, www.buildgreenschools.org, has information on the benefits and costs of green schools, and provide models for teaching about sustainability. It includes profiles of green schools, examples of policies that governments and school districts have instituted to encourage green practices, and other resources and links.
