Buffalo (N.Y.) superintendent announces resignation

Kriner Cash, superintendent since 2015, will step down a year before his contract is set to end.

Buffalo (N.Y.) school superintendent Kriner Cash has announced he is resigning, a year before his contract expires in 2023.

Cash has led the school system since 2015. 

Tonja Williams will take his place as acting superintendent, reports WGRZ News

The Buffalo district, the state's second-largest school system, serves about 33,299 students.
