When the time comes to divvy up the school funding pie, maintenance departments wait patiently in line for their slice of resources. But too often, other needs at schools and universities are perceived to be more pressing, and the maintenance folks end up at the back of the line. After money is doled out, how big is the slice that remains for those responsible for facility upkeep? Not very big.
