Yale University's Kroon Hall emphasizes green design

Facility is designed to use 50 percent less energy

To house its School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, Yale University in New Haven, Conn., has completed construction of Kroon Hall, which is designed to use 50 percent less energy than a comparably sized modern building. Designed by Hopkins Architects in partnership with Centerbrook Architects and Planners, the $33.5 million facility is expected to achieve a platinum LEED rating.
