From The Washington Post: Dunbar Senior High School in Washington, D.C., will be razed as soon as 2013. and, if all goes as planned, students will attend a new, glassy, airy Dunbar next door. The Dunbar that now stands is anything but glassy and airy, and few will lament its demolition just 33 years after its opening.

Earlier...from The Washington Post: Interim Washington, D.C., Schools Chancellor Kaya Henderson has ousted the private operator of Dunbar Senior High School less than three years after former schools chief Michelle A. Rhee hired it to transform the culture and academic performance of the struggling school. Henderson's removal of Friends of Bedford comes after complaints from parents, teachers and other community members about safety, security and academics at the 750-student school.
