Two residence halls scheduled to open in 2012

From The Galveston County Daily News: Texas A&M University at Galveston is planning to open two residence halls next summer at the Mitchell Campus on Pelican Island. Each of the facilities will provide 294 beds. Construction on the $28.2 million halls is expected to start this summer and finish by July 2012. For the 2010-11 school year, campus enrollment was nearly 2,000 students compared with about 1,700 the previous year. About 1,500 students now live on campus.
