Summertime test uncovers some delivery problems

TheSouth Dakota Board of Regents is fine-tuning a campus emergency alert system after a summer test uncovered problems in delivering a test message. The system was tested in June on the six state university campuses and the two specialty schools for the deaf and the visually impaired that are administered by the regents. A few campuses experienced some minor issues with the test. Some people were confused about why they were receiving messages. People away from the campuses received notification because many of the numbers in the system were outdated and had been assigned to another phone customer.
