Northside (Texas) district decides to promote deputy to superintendent

Brian Woods will succeed John Folks in July

From The San Antonio Express-News: The Northside (Texas) Independent School Board in San Antonio has selected an in-house candidate — Brian T. Woods, the district's deputy superintendent for administration — to succeed John Folks as superintendent. Folks has been superintendent since 2002. Woods, 43, who has been with the district for about 20 years, plans to take the helm July 2. Northside is the fourth-largest district in Texas and has more than 97,000 students and more than 12,000 employees.
