Former superintendent accused of stealing funds from Oklahoma district

Authorities charge Bobby Don Russell with stealing $44,000 from Pauls Valley school system

From The Daily Oklahoman: FormerPauls Valley (Okla.) schools superintendent Bobby Don Russell has been charged with embezzling more than $44,000 from the school district. Russell faces Russell four counts of embezzlement and six counts of obtaining money by false pretense. The checks described in the charges add up to $44,370. Pauls Valley police believe that Russell embezzled more than $80,000, but the rest of the money is not accounted for in the court filings. Russell resigned as superintendent in August.
