Officials say construction of Henry Mayfield is running far behind schedule

From The New Orleans Times-Picayune: St. Tammany Parish (La.) school district officials are hopeful of opening two new elementary schools in time to begin the 2011-12 school year, but one of them is running far enough behind in its construction that school system administrators are looking into alternative plans. Henry Mayfield Elementary near Slidell is scheduled to open next school year, but if it’s not ready, students would have to return to Carolyn Park Middle or Bayou Woods Elementary.
