Contractor sues Beaumont (Texas) district over construction bids

Company says it had highest-ranked bid, but didn't get contract
A contractor has sued the Beaumont (Texas) Independent School District, alleging that the school board unfairly selected a competitor for the construction of new elementary schools. The lawsuit contends that BGI Contractors partnered with Daniels Building and Construction to bid in March 2008 for "construction manager risk services" for the construction of new elementary schools. Daniels was ranked highest of three firms competing for the contract, the lawsuit contends, but was not selected for the bid.To read The Beaumont Enterprise article, click here.
