Group says emphasis on security is evidence of misplaced priorities

From The Chicago Sun-Times: Chicago Public School officials, faced with a $712 million deficit, are looking at whether to cut back the presence of police officers in high schools. Having two Chicago police officers stationed inside all public high schools costs $25 million a year: Chief Administrative Officer Tim Cawley says some schools may not need any officers; others might be able to get by with only one.
