New high school opens in West Sacramento

River City High welcomes more than 1,700 students

More than 1,700 students walked through the doors of the newRiver City High School in West Sacramento, Calif., for the first time Monday. The $145 million campus in the Washington Unified District replaces the cramped River City High that served students since the 1950s.
