Choctaw-Nicoma Park district will use funds to build 2 schools, other additions

Voters in theChoctaw-Nicoma Park (Okla.) district have approved a $96.7 million bond package. The bonds will provide $94.9 million for new construction and $1.8 million for new buses. Plans call for the construction of a new Choctaw Middle School and Nicoma Park Elementary and other districtwide improvements. To read The Daily Oklahoman article, click here. EARLIER: Voters will decide on Dec. 9 whether to approve a $96.7 million bond package for the Choctaw-Nicoma Park (Okla.) School District. The first ballot question seeks $94.9 million in bond funds for building a new Choctaw Middle School and Nicoma Park Elementary School. A second question seeks $1.8 million for the purchase of 20 new buses. Choctaw and Nicoma Park are the oldest buildings in the district — each more than 70 years old.
