U.S. Agriculture Department program will help districts buy more local food

From The Orlando Sentinel: Florida is one of two states to be chosen for a new U.S. Department of Agriculture program that will help school districts buy more local produce for student meals. Florida was selected because of its growing season and enthusiasm about getting local fruits and vegetables into schools. Michigan is the other state that will take part in the program.
