St. Olaf College opens sustainably designed science facility

Regents Hall is designed to receive platinum LEED rating
St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., has opened a science facility that is designed to achieve platinum LEED certification. The 200,000-square-foot Regents Hall will have lower operating costs and minimize the impact on the environment. Sustainable features include a green roof, abundant natural lighting and the minimization of chemical and biological waste through a "green chemistry" curriculum. The architect is Holabird & Root.
