Housing program at University of Cincinnati aimed at first-generation students

School tries to overcome tendency of first-generation college students to leave school early

From The Cincinnati Enquirer: At the University of Cincinnati, 24 freshmen are living in Gen-1 House, an off-campus residence designated for low-income, first-generation college students. Nationally, 89 percent of low-income "first-gens" leave college within six years without a degree. Colleges are trying to determine how to hold onto them.
