Smaller bond proposal in Charlotte-Mecklenburg district could make it harder to win over voters

Oct. 14, 2013
Some patrons may decide the $290 million package doesn't include enough for schools in their neighborhoods.

The $290 million bond proposal on next month's ballot in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County (N.C.) school district is the smallest amount to go before voters in the past decade. The Charlotte Observer reports that the smaller price tag means fewer projects, and that could make it harder to get voters excited about new projects for their schools and neighborhoods.
