District expects to open $44 million Hartselle High School in April

A new Hartselle High School is weeks away from opening in Hartselle, Ala. Al.com says the $44 million facility is expected to open in early April. The Hartselle City District's new school has a 1,600-seat arena-style gym, a 1,200-seat auditorium, 88 classrooms, an outdoor classroom for environmental studies and a media center. Vocational and special education classes will have their own wings. Students with special needs will have a separate entrance for easier access to the facility.
