District says $150 million overhaul of Jordan High School could take up to 10 years

The Long Beach (Calif.) Unified District has begun renovations at Jordan High School that could take up to 10 years to complete. Gazettes.com says the work at the campus has been divided into six phases and is estimated to cost $150 million. The school was founded in 1933 and has expanded several times to through the years. The planned improvements include a new cafeteria, six new buildings with lab facilities, new athletic fields, and renovations to the media center, gymnasium, music building and auditorium.
