Insurance process is holding up rebuilding plans in West (Texas) district

Before it can move forward on rebuilding plans, the West (Texas) school district is waiting to learn how much insurance money it will get for school facilities that were damaged in the April 17 explosion at the a fertilizer plant. The Waco Tribune-Herald reports that the district's insurance providers the companies have yet to complete assessments of the damaged buildings. West’s intermediate, middle and high schools all suffered significant damage in the blast that killed 15 residents and damaged up to 300 homes. The slow pace of the insurance process has stalled construction plans.
