Parents of some students say they'll try to convert campus to a private school.

From The Atlanta Journal-Constitution: The Georgia Board of Education has denied a charter renewal to Fulton Science Academy Middle School in Alpharetta. But parents of some of the school's 500 students vow to keep the campus open as a private school. The school was designated by the U.S. Education Department as a Blue Ribbon School in 2011, but the state board rejected the charter application because of concerns over management, financial stability and failure to follow state mandates.
