Former cyber charter school official accused of fraud in Pennsylvania

The founder and former CEO of Pennsylvania's largest cyber charter school has been indicted on charges of fraud involving school funds. The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports that Nicholas Trombetta, who created Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School, allegedly used school funds to buy a $1 million condominium and houses for his girlfriend and mother, along with nearly $1 million on personal expenses. PA Cyber educated 10,434 students in 2012-13, according to the state Department of Education.
