After complaints, Petraeus salary at City University of New York shrinks to $1

July 16, 2013
Former CIA director had been in line for a $200,000 salary for his work at the university

Earlier this year, City University of New York announced that David H. Petraeus, the former CIA director and commander of the allied forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, would be a visiting professor at the university's Macaulay Honors College. But, The New York Times reports, after some professors and politicians expressed outrage over the $200,000 salary Petraeus was to receive, Petraeus now says he will teach for just $1. CUNY appointed him in April to teach a seminar now called “Are We on the Threshold of the North American Decade.”
