States where education funding hasn't caught up

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says that In 29 states, total state funding per student was lower in 2015 than in 2008.

In 29 states, total state funding per student was lower in the 2015 school year than in the 2008 school year, The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says in a new report.

Seventeen states saw cuts during those years of 10 percent or more. The state that made the largest cuts was Arizona, which was providing 36.6 percent less spending in fiscal 2015 than it was in 2008.

Here are the 10 states where state education spending had declined the most.
