States with highest per-pupil spending, Fiscal 2015

Numbers from the U.S. Census Bureau show the highest-spending states tended to be in the Northeast.

Public schools in the United States spent an average of $11,392 per student in fiscal 2015, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau.
