States with the highest high school graduation rates

Ten states reported that at least 87.3 percent of their high school students graduated in 2013-14.

Figures from the U.S. Department of Education indicate that a record-high percentage of students graduated from high school in 2013-14.

The department says nationwide, the high school graduation rate was 82.3 percent.

The rates for individual states and Washington, D.C., ranged from a high of 90.5 percent in Iowa to a low of 61.4 percent in Washington, D.C.
