Districts with most children living in poverty

The U.S. Census Bureau's Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates program provides annual estimates of income and poverty statistics for school districts and other entities.

The data for 2015 show that New York City, the nation's largest school district, also has the most children from 5 to 17 living in poverty—more than 353,000.
