The 100 U.S. public school districts with the most students enrolled in 2001-12. (Plus, the next 100). The numbers are culled from data from state education departments and individual school districts.

The school districts listed below were the largest public systems in the United States by enrollment in 2011-12. The expanded 2013 AS&U 100 list shows the 200 systems with the most students, based on numbers from states' departments of education and individual school districts.
