CELEBRATION — About 2,400 students are enrolled at Stetson University, Florida's first private university. The new Stetson University Center represents the university's mission and community spirit.

The building was designed to create an icon for downtown Celebration. In keeping with a number of buildings in the city and the DeLand campus, the building will be brick. Since the building can be seen from numerous vantage points, the facade is continuous, with no distinction between the front, back and side.

A multipurpose room will be placed in the center of the semicircle, and all classrooms and faculty offices will open to the room. There also is a rental space for artists and entrepreneurs.

The building is scheduled to be completed this fall. Architect is Deamer/Phillips.
