The Wallace H. Coulter Science Center, Westminster College, Fulton, Mo.

The 40,000-square-foot Wallace H. Coulter Science Center on the campus of Westminster College, Fulton, Mo., recently was renovated, and an extra 40,000 square feet was added to the building.

The three-level facility features an atrium surrounded by classrooms, and wet and dry laboratory space.

The exterior features a mixture of masonry brick, precast concrete, limestone, extruded aluminum panels and glass. It offers wireless technology throughout the building, and classrooms are equipped for multimedia using the Internet, satellite TV and other media sources. The building has space dedicated for student and faculty research, work on independent projects, teaching and research laboratories, and four computer labs.

The architect for this project is Christner Inc. (St. Louis). S.M. Wilson & Co. (St. Louis) provided construction-management services.
