University Center at Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Fla.

The 366,000-square-foot University Center at Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Fla., fuses four functions: sports, fitness, performing arts and campus life.

The new center was wrapped around the existing student center without disrupting operations.

The facility includes a three-story fitness center, a sports and convocation arena, and a performing-arts center wing that is about to begin its second phase of construction. It will include a full production performance theater, a black-box theater, and visual- and performing-arts departments.

The architect for this project is Cannon Design (Washington, D.C.). The construction manager is Moss/Miller Joint Venture, LLC (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.).
